Grew up in Thunder Bay as a ski racer. Warren was fortunate to have a family who loved to ski on the weekends at a small area called Candy Mountain. This is where he fell in love with the sport and learned to ski race. When his racing career was over, Warren shared his passion with the young ski racers at Candy Mountain as he started up the Nancy Greene racing program that had disappeared. After graduating from high school, Warren took a gap year and moved to Sunshine Village in the Canadian Rockies to teach skiing. He fell in love with the profession, and 35 years later, he is still teaching and coaching with the same passion he had for the sport when he was a young boy.
On a personal note, in his spare time, Warren enjoys remaining active. He has run multiple marathons, triathlons, and Ironman 2003. Warren has coached many community sports in Canmore, such as hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, track and field, badminton, running clinics, and triathlon. Mountain biking, hiking, and golf are other passions for Warren.
